Just because the Greene Library is closed for the summer doesn’t mean you have to stop reading!

Did you know that students who read over the summer not only have more fun, explore new worlds, and learn about themselves and others, but they are also more academically successful the rest of the year?!

Participate in the Greene Summer Reading Challenge, and avoid the summer slide by reading at least four books this summer. At the opening of school in August, turn in your reading record to your new English teacher, and receive credit for participating. Recognition from the Greene Library will go to the English class with the highest number of books read over the summer!

To help decide what to read, the three middle school librarians create a summer reading suggestion list each year that appeals to a variety of reading interests!
