Review by Sheel Pant

When Capricorn (Cap) Anderson’s hippie grandmother Rain breaks her hip, he has no choice but to go to the public school, and stay with a social worker, and her cranky teen daughter. But when Zach Powers, big man on campus spots Cap, he is thinking of presenting him to the age-old tradition at Claverage (dubbed C Average by the students) Middle School. The tradition is nominating the biggest dweeb in the school for 8th, and believe it or not… Cap wins! So will Cap be the hero of C Average, or turn out to be the biggest punch line?I give this book 5 stars, because the characters are well written, the story is memorable, and the author sets the pace well. I like how the author changes the point-of-view, so we can see how everyone feels about Cap’s arrival at C Average Middle School, and at the Donnelly’s house.
