I am Number Four, by Pittacus Lore

Review by Anna Wingard

Seventeen year old John smith is an alien from Lorien. When his planet was invaded by the Mogadorians when he was a child, everyone was killed except for nine kids and their guardians who were sent to earth to hide and hopefully defeat the Mogadorians. John is number 4, each kid can only be killed in numerical order and 1,2, and 3 are already gone which means John is next. He has been on the run his whole life constantly moving with his guardian Henri training for the moment he would have to face their enemies and learning how to use his new powers. While at the same time pretending to be a normal teen meeting new people and making new friends.

I really enjoy this book because it is suspenseful and full of action but at the same time is about a so called normal teenager trying to fit in as the new kid acting as real life drama and something we can relate to. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes the thrills of action and suspense or has an interest in aliens.
